Move a file geodatabase

You can copy file geodatabases from one folder and paste them into another under Folders in the Catalog pane in ArcGIS Pro.

Follow these steps to move a file geodatabase:

1. Open an ArcGIS Pro project.
2. Connect to the folder that currently contains the geodatabase you want to move.
3. Connect to the destination folder to which you will move the geodatabase.
4. Right-click the geodatabase in its existing location and click Copy.
5. Right-click the destination folder and click Paste.

   You now have a copy of the geodatabase.

6. Optionally, if you no longer need the geodatabase in the original folder location, delete it.
