24034: Layer's data source is z-aware and no default z-value is defined

You are sharing either a web feature layer or a scene layer with an associated feature layer that contains data that is z-aware but no default z-value is defined. Without a default z-value, editing is only supported in clients that support setting a z-value, such as ArcGIS Pro. Editing is not supported in the map viewer without a default z-value.

Solutions

  • The provided solution opens the configuration pane so Apply default to feature with z-values can be turned on. You can additionally specify a value other than zero for the Default z-value when inserting or updating features.

More information

Setting a default z-value ensures that features can be inserted or updated in clients that do not support setting a z-value.
