Analyzing helps identify performance delays and errors that you need to address before you can share your GIS resource as a package, web layer, web map, or web scene. When you click Analyze in a packaging or sharing pane, the Messages tab appears with a list of issues. Once you've addressed these issues, your GIS resource is ready to package or share as a web layer or web map.
Hover over the message and click to get a quick suggestion on how to address the specific issue, alternatively you can right-click to see the same suggestion. This will also give you access to a help topic with more information, such as additional repair options. The item in bold is the default approach for addressing each issue, double clicking the analyzer initiates the default solution.
When analyzing your GIS resource, you'll notice two types of messages on the Messages tab.
These are issues that must be fixed before you can package or share your GIS resource.
These are issues where performance, appearance, or data access may be affected.
You have the option to address or ignore a warning.
Additional information about each analyzer message can be viewed in the analyzer message detail table, located below the list of messages. This table displays additional information about the highlighted analyzer.
The type of analyzer message; either an Error or a Warning .
The unique identifier of the analyzer message.
The severity of the analyzer message indicates how likely the issue will cause unexpected behavior.
The status of the analyzer message. The initial status is Unresolved.
The name of the layer or map that the analyzer message is associated with.
A short description of the analyzer message.
