    Ensures data integrity by validating the features in a topology in the area specified by ArcGIS.Core.Data.Topology.ValidationDescription.Extent against a pre-defined set of topology rules. This method must be called on the MCT. Use QueuedTask.Run.
    Syntax

    Parameters

    topology
    The ArcGIS.Core.Data.Topology instance to validate.
    validationDescription
    The ArcGIS.Core.Data.Topology.ValidationDescription which describes the details of the validate operation.

    Return Value

    A ArcGIS.Core.Data.Topology.ValidationResult that describes the result of the operation.
    Exceptions
    ExceptionDescription
    validationDescription is null.
    Cannot find a layer in the active map that connects to the same geodatabase as that of the Topology.
    This method or property must be called within the lambda passed to QueuedTask.Run.
    A geodatabase-related exception has occurred.
    Remarks
    • This routine creates its own edit operation, and can therefore not be called within an existing transaction.
    • If this operation is successful, it will create an edit operation on the Pro undo/redo stack, invalidate the affected layers and cause the ArcGIS.Desktop.Mapping.MapView to redraw. When writing a CoreHost application, use ArcGIS.Core.Data.Topology.Topology.Validate.

    Target Platforms: Windows 11, Windows 10

    ArcGIS Pro version: 3 or higher.
