002147: Feature-linked annotation may introduce editing limitations in your geodatabase.

Description

Feature-linked annotation creates a relationship class between the annotation feature class and the base feature class. An ArcGIS Pro feature-linked annotation feature class will affect the ability to edit the base feature class in different versions of ArcGIS Desktop.

The following table describes how annotation is supported:

Solution

Ensure you understand where and how your data will be used, and make decisions accordingly.

If you need to continue to use the feature class in ArcGIS Desktop, make a copy of it and link the ArcGIS Pro feature-linked annotation to the copy.
