The referenced raster dataset for the raster object is temporary. To make it permanent, you can call the raster object's save method.
Syntax
Pansharpen (pan_raster, ms_raster, {ir_raster}, {fourth_band_of_ms_is_ir}, {weights}, {type}, {sensor})
