Modify the Terrain and Obstacle Profile element

You can make several changes after adding the Terrain and Obstacle Profile element.

In the Contents pane, right-click the Terrain and Obstacle Profile element Terrain Obstacle Profile and click Properties.

In the Element pane, there are several settings that allow you to change specific parts of the element. You can click any setting you want to change.

Options

  • General
    • Name—Specify the name of the element. Element names must be unique.
    • Visible—Draw the element on the layout.
    • Locked—Click to lock or unlock the element. Locking the element prevents it from being selected and modified on the layout. You can still select the element from the Contents pane and modify the element using the element's property panes.
  • Source
    • Map Frame—Select the associated map frame.
    • Map—Select a map containing the layer or stand-alone table to display.
    • Type—Select a Straight or Curved runway type.
    • OIS Layer—Choose the layer that contains your approach surface.
    • Runway ID—Choose the associated runway designator.
    • Base Specification—Choose the main approach on which the profile element will be based.
  • Sizing
    • Use Constant Ratio—Click to size the vertical scale by a ratio of the horizontal scale.
    • Height—The height value for the element.

Profile Options

  • Grid (Extent)
    • Horizontal Scale—Horizontal scale of the element.
    • Vertical Scale—Vertical scale of the element.
    • Auto Vertical Grid Extent—The grid extent of the element.
    • Sub Divisions X—Number of subdivisions for the X scale.
    • Sub Divisions Y—Number of subdivisions for the Y scale.
  • Grid (Symbology)
    • Grid Division—Symbol for grid division.
    • Grid Subdivision—Symbol for grid subdivisions.
    • Grid Scale Text—Symbol for grid text.
    • Grid Left Text—Symbol for grid text on the left of the profile grid.
    • Grid Right Text—Symbol for grid text on the right of the profile grid.
  • Runway
    • Precision—Select the decimal precision for the runway elevation labels.
    • Elevation Change Threshold—Change to adjust percentage difference between consecutive runway points that should be displayed.
    • Runway—Symbol for runway feature.
    • Runway Text—Symbol for text on runway.
  • Max Terrain

    Hinweis:

    These settings apply only to Max, Min, and Centerline.

    • Display Option—Choose which terrain to display. (Penetrating Only, Highlight, None).
    • Terrain—Choose the color of the terrain.
  • Centerline Terrain
    • Display Option—Choose which terrain to display. (Penetrating Only, Highlight, None).
    • Terrain—Choose the color of the terrain.
  • Min Terrain
    • Display Option—Choose which terrain to display. (Penetrating Only, Highlight, None).
    • Terrain—Choose the color of the terrain.

Display

  • Border
    • Symbol—The border symbol. You can choose the border color for the selected elements and set the borderline width.
    • X gap—Expand symbol in horizontal direction.
    • Y gap—Expand symbol in vertical direction.
    • Rounding—Round the corners of the symbol.
  • Background
    • Symbol—The border symbol. You can choose the border color for the selected elements and set the borderline width.
    • X gap—Expand symbol in horizontal direction.
    • Y gap—Expand symbol in vertical direction.
    • Rounding—Round the corners of the symbol.
  • Shadow
    • Symbol—The border symbol. You can choose the border color for the selected elements and set the borderline width.
    • X gap—Expand symbol in horizontal direction.
    • Y gap—Expand symbol in vertical direction.
    • Rounding—Round the corners of the symbol.

Placement

  • Size
    • Width—Set the width of the selected elements.
    • Height—Set the height of the selected elements.
  • Position
    • X—Set the X anchor position value of the selected elements.
    • Y—Set the Y anchor position value of the selected elements.
