Load source data

Mit der ArcGIS Maritime-Lizenz verfügbar.

You can access different types of source data when producing nautical data in ArcGIS Pro; most source data is in raster or vector format. Raster data can be digitized, while vector format data can be imported or copied into a geodatabase. Choose the appropriate workflow below based on the type of source data you are using.

Digitize from raster data

With ArcGIS Maritime, you can use a variety of raster formats as source data for S-57 production. The following steps guide you through digitizing data from a raster image.

  1. On the Map tab, in the Layer group, click Add Data Daten hinzufügen and choose Data Daten hinzufügen from the drop-down menu to load a raster image as a backdrop layer.
    Hinweis:

    Ensure the image is georeferenced.

  2. Optionally, change the transparency of the feature layer to collect data on top of the raster layer without needing to consider the draw order.
  3. Choose the appropriate feature layer or subtype in the Create Features pane and digitize the feature from the raster image.
  4. Optionally, further refine the feature attributes.

Load vector data

Vector data can come in many different formats, including shapefiles, DGN files (design), and other data types. Existing S-57 data can be imported directly into the geodatabase using the Import S-57 To Geodatabase tool. For vector source data, you can use copy and paste tools to take the geometry from the source data and put it into a geodatabase. The Erweiterung "ArcGIS Data Interoperability" further expands the number of third-party software formats available as data sources for ArcGIS Pro.

You can load source data to a geodatabase and export it to the S-57 format by completing the following high-level steps:

  1. Load source data into a geodatabase with the Import S-57 To Geodatabase tool or by copying and pasting.
    Tipp:

If copying and pasting, click Paste Special to streamline this activity by choosing the appropriate feature class or subtype for the target layer.

  2. If necessary, create new data.
  3. Validate the data.
  4. Export the data to S-57 format.
  5. Package the S-57 products.
