Description
The combination of Number of Distance Bands, Beginning Distance, and Distance Increment values specified may result in distances extending well beyond the study area extent. Ideally, the largest distance assessed will create a distance band covering no more than about three-fourths of the study area for any given feature being evaluated.
Solution
Change parameters (or take the default parameters) for Number of Distance Bands, Beginning Distance, and/or Distance Increment. As a first pass, consider making the beginning distance the minimum value that would ensure each feature has at least one neighbor (see Calculate Distance Band from Neighbor Count) and setting the distance increment and number of distance bands so that the beginning distance value plus the distance increment times the number of distance bands is smaller than the longest side of the study area extent.
