You can add, customize, and delete an output coordinate format in Coordinate Conversion.
Add an output coordinate format
You can use Coordinate Conversion to convert to multiple coordinate formats. To add a new format to the Output table and see multiple formats at one time, complete the following steps:
- On the ribbon, click the Map tab.
- In the Inquiry group, click Coordinate Conversion .
- In the Coordinate Conversion pane, click the Add button in
the Output table header.
The Add New Output Coordinate window appears.
- Choose a coordinate format from the Category list.
- Examine the selected coordinate format in the Formats dialog box to verify the coordinates will be displayed correctly.
- Type a name for the coordinate format in the Name text box or accept the default.
Since a given coordinate category can be formatted in different ways, you can use the name to identify an output format with another system.
- Click OK to add the selected coordinate format to the Output table.
When you click the map using the Map Point Tool or paste a coordinate in the Input text box, the equivalent coordinate values appear in each of the output coordinate value rows of the table. You can add rows for multiple formats and customize how these formats are displayed.
Tip:
Reorder the output coordinate format list by dragging the sort button located at the far left of the row.
Customize an output coordinate format
You can customize the display of an output coordinate format.
- In the Coordinate Conversion pane, in the Output section, right-click an output format and click Configure.
- In the Edit Output Coordinate window, change the Category value of the output coordinate or click Advanced and change the format.
- Click OK.
Remove an output coordinate format
To remove an output format, in the Coordinate Conversion pane, in the Output section, right-click the coordinate and click Delete.
