If you need to export your Indoors geodatabase to IMDF, use the Generate Unit Openings geoprocessing tool to create unit openings as line features to comply with IMDF requirements.
The Generate Unit Openings tool requires architectural door details lines to identify entrances to units and generate them as openings. The tool can process most common door representations, including straight lines, single or double swing doors, in swing or out swing doors, and sliding or revolving doors.
Complete the following steps to generate unit openings as line features:
- Optionally, select unit or door details using the Select Layer by Attribute tool to limit generating openings to the specified features.
- Run the Generate Unit Openings geoprocessing tool.
- Inspect the output openings and confirm that the openings features were generated and are coincident with the unit polygons.
