The Import Trace Configurations tool allows you to import trace configurations from a .json file to a trace network.
Requirements
When working with an enterprise geodatabase, the following apply:
- The Input Trace Network parameter value must be from a trace network service.
The Input Trace Network can be from a database connection established as the database trace network owner when connected as the portal trace network owner or a portal account with the Administrator role.
Follow these steps to import trace configurations from a .json file to a trace network:
- On the Analysis tab, in the Geoprocessing group, click Tools to open the Geoprocessing pane.
- In the Geoprocessing pane, search for and select Import Trace Configurations.
The tool can be found in the Trace Configuration toolset of the Trace Network toolbox.
- For Input Trace Network, specify a trace network.
- For Input File (.json), specify the name and location of the .json file containing the trace configurations.
- Click Run.
The trace configurations are imported to the Input Trace Network.
Note:
The existing creator from the JSON is honored during import. When working with an enterprise geodatabase as a portal user other than the portal trace network owner, ensure that the creator value from the .json file is updated to reflect the proper portal account to enable access to view and work with the trace configuration in the trace network.
