On the project Options dialog box, on the Editing tab, the Symbology options define how vertex handles appear when they are selected, unselected, and when they are the last vertex in a linear sequence.
- On the Edit tab, in the Manage Edits group, click the Options dialog box launcher .
- On the Options dialog box, click Editing, and expand Symbology.
- Click the Symbology tab.
- In the Vertices section, click the vertex handle you want to change.
- Vertex unselected—Appears for each vertex when you create or edit feature geometry.
- Vertex selected—Appears when you edit vertices and click a vertex.
- Current vertex unselected—Appears for the last vertex in a linear sequence when you draw or edit line or polygon geometry.
- Current vertex selected—Appears when you edit vertices and click the last vertex of line or polygon geometry.
- In the Appearance section, click the appropriate setting and customize the selected vertex handle.
- Form—The symbol form.
- Color—The symbol fill color.
- Outline color —The symbol outline color.
- Outline width —The symbol outline width.
- Size—The symbol size.
- Angle—The rotation angle of the symbol.
- To set all vertex handles to the application default symbology, click Reset to default .
- Click OK.
