Set the compilation scale

Available with Maritime Charting license.

Setting the compilation scale is important to the production workflow. When working in a multiscaled production environment, you are required to establish the scale at which you are compiling data so that newly created features can be managed correctly. You can do this using the Compilation Scale tool on the Maritime tab, in the S-57 Editing group. The setting automatically populates the PLTS_COMP_SCALE attribute for each inserted feature. The tool provides a means to both review and dynamically alter the compilation scale value for newly created data.

The default Compilation Scale value is 1, but it includes a drop-down list of scale value choices. You can also type a value for a compilation scale that does not appear in the list. Values entered are saved in the active project and persist when you create a project.

Note:

It is recommended that you confirm your compilation scale before adding a feature. You can also review the text box to see the current value.

Caution:

Don't use negative values or nonnumeric characters.
