Sharing a project package is like taking a snapshot of the project in its current state. It contains all the project items such as maps, reports, layouts, and any added layers, folder connections, and so on. To avoid having broken data sources when sharing a report in a project package, you must include the data with a map in the project. If your report data is external to the project, the report will contain broken data sources.
The Report button is disabled when there is a broken data source. You can repair data sources on the Source tab of the Report Properties dialog box.
