Description

All records in the feature class assigned to the role in the message have an empty value in the required locator role field. The Create Locator tool ignores records in the reference data that have empty values for required fields when building the locator, but if all records in the reference data have empty values, the locator fails to build.

Solution

Verify the following requirements are met when building a locator with the Create Locator tool:

• The feature class used as the reference data contains values in the fields assigned to required locator role fields.
• The appropriate role is selected for the assigned reference data.
• The correct reference data field is assigned to the locator role field.
