Boundary rules followed when converting features to a raster

The graphic below illustrates what rules apply when a feature falls exactly on a cell boundary.

  • If a feature falls on a cell boundary, use the cell above it; if there is not one there, then remain in the cell below.
  • If there is a cell to the left, use it; if there is no cell, then remain in the cell on the right.
