Description
The specific network feature class asset group/asset type does not have the appropriate association role type assigned for the rule type being created.
For containment and structural attachment rule types, an association role must first be assigned to the feature class for the specific asset group/asset type as follows:
- Containment association rules—The from asset group/asset type must be assigned the container association role.
- Structural attachment association rules—The from asset group/asset type must be assigned the structure association role.
Solution
Review the network properties for the network feature class asset group/asset type to verify that an association role is assigned.
Use the Set Association Role tool to set the respective association role and re-create the rule.
