Merge features into one feature

In the Modify Features pane, click Merge Merge to combine two or more features on the same layer that share coincident vertices into one feature. You can replace the existing feature, or keep it and create a new feature.

Segment intersections are split and merged. Features that don't share a vertex, are merged as multipart features. For example, merging intersecting street centerlines or the individual Hawaiian Islands creates multipart features.

You can choose which feature attributes you want to preserve. Attributes constrained by attribute domains are not affected by the domain merge policy defined by the source geodatabase.

Note:

To combine multiple input features of the same data type into a single new output dataset, use the Merge geoprocessing tool.
