View and edit utility network feature and object attributes

In the Attributes pane Attributes, you can view and edit utility network associations and nonspatial objects for selected network features. Clicking an association type in the tree view reports additional information about the association.

View associated network assets

To view associated network assets, select a utility network feature or object that is defined as a container and click the association type. Associated features are organized by layer and can contain multiple items.

  1. On the Edit tab, in the Selection group, click Attributes Attributes.
  2. Select a utility network feature.
    1. Click the Selection tab.
    2. Click the Select tool Select and select a utility network feature or object that is defined as a container.
    3. In the tree view, expand the associated assets.
  3. Click a network association type, for example, Contains.

    Information about the association is reported on the Associations tab.

    To zoom to associated objects, right-click the association, for example, Contains, and click Zoom To Zoom to Selected.

Add a nonspatial object

To add a nonspatial object to an existing container, right-click the association type in the tree view, and click Add New To Container Select Relationship.

  1. On the Edit tab, in the Selection group, click Attributes Attributes.
  2. Select a utility network feature.
    1. Click the Selection tab.
    2. Click the Select tool Select and select a utility network feature or object that is defined as a container.
    3. In the tree view, expand the associated assets.
  3. Add a nonspatial object.
    1. Right-click the association type, for example, Contains, and click Add New To Container Select Relationship.

    1. Click the Pick a template drop-down arrow and select a containment template.

      The templates available to a container are determined by the containment associations defined for the current object.

    2. Click the Number of rows box and specify the number of nonspatial objects (rows).

  4. Click OK.

Remove a nonspatial object

To remove a nonspatial object from a container, right-click the nonspatial object, and click Remove Association Remove Relationship.

  1. On the Edit tab, in the Selection group, click Attributes Attributes.
  2. Select a utility network feature.
    1. Click the Selection tab.
    2. Click the Select tool Select and select a utility network feature or object that is defined as a container.
    3. In the tree view, expand the associated assets.
  3. Right-click the nonspatial object and click Remove Association Remove Relationship.
