CreateGraphicElements(ILayoutElementContainer,IEnumerable<CIMGraphic>,IEnumerable<String>) Method

Creates a graphic element on a layout or element container from a CIMGraphic. This method must be called on the MCT. Use QueuedTask.Run.

Parameters

elementContainer: Layout or GroupElement
graphics: CIMGraphic
elementNames: The names of the elements or null.

Exceptions

Exception	Description
ArcGIS.Core.CalledOnWrongThreadException	This method must be called within the lambda passed to QueuedTask.Run.
System.ArgumentNullException	graphic(s) cannot be null
System.ArgumentException	Number of elementNames does not match the number of graphics

Remarks

If the element container is a Layout then the element gets added to the root level of the layout TOC at the top most position. If the element container is a GroupElement then it gets added to the group at the topmost position.
If elementNames are provided then the number of elementNames must match the number of graphics.
