An overview of the Raster toolset

This ArcGIS 2.9 documentation has been archived and is no longer updated. Content and links may be outdated. See the latest documentation.

The Raster toolset contains tools for interpolating raster surfaces, reclassifying and performing various math operations, exporting different formats from a raster, and generating surface derivatives such as slope, contour, aspect, and curvature.

ToolsetDescription

Conversion

The Conversion toolset contains tools that export a raster dataset's data area to a boundary feature and convert a raster surface to a TIN or a multipoint feature class.

Interpolation

The Raster Interpolation tools create a continuous (or prediction) surface from sampled point values.

Math

The Raster Math tools perform mathematical operations on input rasters.

Reclass

The Raster Reclass tools provide a variety of methods that allow you to reclassify or change input cell values to alternative values.

Surface

With the Raster Surface tools, you can quantify and visualize a terrain landform represented by a digital elevation model.
