Description
When performing configuration tasks for a utility network, the dataset does not have a valid Asset Group value that can be used.
Many configuration tasks rely on a classification system built into the feature class schema using the asset group and asset type attribute fields. The asset group field requires that valid subtype values be created to represent the major classification of assets.
Solution
Review the network properties to ensure that the dataset has a valid Asset Group value.
Ensure that valid subtype values are created for the dataset. These are representative of the asset group field and serve as the major classification of assets for the feature class.
