Description
The dimension specified cannot be used. The most likely reasons for this are the following:
- The dimension does not exist in the variable.
- The dimension is not defined in the input netCDF format file.
Solution
Use a dimension that exists in the input variable, and ensure that the variable has been properly defined in the input netCDF format file.
Note that even if a dimension appears in the drop-down list on the tool dialog box, it may not be valid to use. This may be the case if the netCDF format file is not compliant with the netCDF CF (Climate and Forecast) format conventions. See Fundamentals of netCDF data storage for details.
