Description

The tool requires an ArcGIS Desktop Advanced license, and both the Spatial Analyst extension and the 3D Analyst extension to be licensed. The following are conditions in which the required licensing may not be available:

• An ArcGIS Desktop Basic or ArcGIS Desktop Standard license was authorized.
• The Spatial Analystextension or the 3D Analyst extension was not assigned or checked out.
• The Spatial Analyst extension or 3D Analyst extension license has expired.
• When licensed for Concurrent Use, there isn't a Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst license available to check out for use.

Solution

The following solutions respectively correspond to the conditions listed in the Description field:

• Authorize an ArcGIS Desktop Advanced license. You may need to contact your system administrator for assistance.

• Assign or check out the Spatial Analyst extension, 3D Analyst extension, or both. You may need to contact your system administrator.

• Assign or check out licenses that are not expired. You may need to contact your system administrator.
• If Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst have been enabled, colleagues on your network may be using all of the available licenses. Check with colleagues, who aren't actively using the extensions, to see if they can close their ArcGIS Pro session. Frequent occurrences may warrant acquiring additional licenses.
