Configure the status bar for editing

The status bar appears at the bottom of the active map or scene. It provides quick access to drawing aids such as snapping, constraint modes, and the editing grid. You can show or hide the buttons that appear on the status bar.

Configure the status bar

Complete the following steps to configure the status bar:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow on the status bar at the bottom of the active map or scene and click Customize Buttons Customize Buttons.

    Alternatively, on the ribbon, click the Edit tab. In the Manage Edits group, click Settings Configure tool feedback options.

    The Editor Settings dialog box appears.

  2. Click the User Interface tab on the Editor Settings dialog box, and expand Status Bar.

  3. Check the Show buttons on the status bar check box.

    This shows the enabled buttons on the status bar. Uncheck this setting to hide the enabled buttons.

  4. Check the check box for each drawing aid button you want to show on the status bar.

    Uncheck a check box to hide a button.

  5. Click OK.
