GIS data represents real-world objects and events, and the things we know about them. ArcGIS Pro is designed to handle many types of data for many different purposes. You can work with feature- and raster-based spatial data stored in geodatabases and other formats, tabular data in stored spreadsheets or other files, web layers and services hosted in portals or servers, and data you collect and create yourself.
This section contains a variety of information about the ways you can use data in ArcGIS Pro, including the following:
- The many data types and formats that ArcGIS supports.
- The structures in which data is stored and managed, such as databases and geodatabases.
- The editing operations that maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- The areas of practice that require specialized data preparation and management. These include working with land parcels, utility networks, and indoor environments.
