Use the Traverse tool located in the Tools gallery on the Parcel Record Workflows tab to create a parcel traverse. A parcel traverse is a loop of lines that is created from entering a sequence of COGO dimensions.
The Traverse tool creates parcel lines in the chosen parcel lines feature layer. Since parcel fabric line layers are COGO-enabled, the tool populates the line's COGO attribute fields with the entered dimensions.
The Traverse tool can be used to create and build new parcels in the parcel fabric. Additionally, you can use the Traverse tool to do the following:
- Create a parcel traverse with a connection line from a point-of-beginning.
- Create a parcel traverse with a natural boundary.
- Add previously entered and saved traverse lines to the traverse by tracing over the lines on the map.
- Adjust traverse closure.
- Import and export traverses between ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap.
