Set the status bar editor settings

Editor settings include options for showing or hiding select drawing aids on the status bar that appears at the bottom of the active map or scene. In addition to the status bar, alternatively, these settings are available on the ribbon Edit tab in the Manage Edits group.

Configure the status bar

To configure the status bar, complete the following steps:

  1. At the bottom of the active map or scene, click the status bar drop-down arrow and click Customize Buttons Customize Buttons.

    Alternatively, on the ribbon, click the Edit tab and click Settings Configure tool feedback options in the Manage Edits group.

    The Editor Settings dialog box appears.

  2. Click the User Interface side tab and expand Status Bar.

  3. Check the Show buttons on the status bar check box.

    To hide the enabled buttons, uncheck this setting.

  4. Check the check box for each drawing aid button you want to show on the status bar.

    To hide a button, uncheck this setting.

  5. Click OK.

    Your settings are saved and the dialog box closes.
