Link Cursors displays and synchronizes the active pointer in all views when you are editing or measuring features across multiple map views. It is used primarily for stereo map editing, but it is also available for other workflows. This setting is available on the View tab in the Windows group.
Caution:
Linking pointers is intended for workflows that create feature geometry across multiple views such as compiling 3D feature data using stereo maps. It is not recommended for workflows that edit annotation or use other tools that do not interactively draw feature geometry.
After using linked cursors, if your remaining workflow uses editing tools that do not interactively draw feature geometry, the best practice is to turn this mode off.
