IsEditable Property (BasicFeatureLayer)

Gets whether a layer is editable.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)

public bool IsEditable {get;}

Public ReadOnly Property IsEditable As Boolean

Remarks

Returns true only when (a) you have data source level permission to edit and (b) it is made editable on the map.

Example

Change layer visibility, editability, snappability

if (!layer.IsVisible)
  layer.SetVisibility(true);

if (layer is FeatureLayer featureLayer)
{
  if (!featureLayer.IsEditable)
    featureLayer.SetEditable(true);

  if (!featureLayer.IsSnappable)
    featureLayer.SetSnappable(true);
}
