Components of a trace include starting points, barriers, and trace results. On the Trace Network tab, in the Tools group, the Trace command provides additional options that expose a Clear All command . This command can be used to clear all starting points and barriers placed interactively using the Trace pane as well as the currently selected named trace configuration on the Named Configuration tab. Where applicable, any values configured for the aggregated geometry result type of a named trace configuration on the tab will also be cleared. Trace results are removed from the map using the Clear tool.
Clear starting points
To clear starting points, complete the following steps:
- On the Trace Network tab, in the Tools group, click the Trace command to open the Trace pane.
- In the Trace pane, ensure the Starting Points tab is active.
- In the list of starting points, click the delete button next to the starting point you want to remove.
- Click Apply.
To clear all starting points, click Clear All under the list of starting points on the Starting Points tab.
Clear barriers
To clear barriers, complete the following steps:
- On the Trace Network tab, in the Tools group, click the Trace command to open the Trace pane.
- In the Trace pane, ensure the Barriers tab is active.
- In the list of barriers, click the delete button next to the barrier you want to remove.
- Click Apply.
To clear all barriers, click Clear All under the list of barriers on the Barriers tab.
Clear the results of a trace
To clear trace results that are displayed as selections in a map view, complete the following steps:
- Select the map view to activate the Map tab.
- In the Selection group on the Map tab, click Clear.
