Apply transition effects

You can apply transition effects to presentation pages to animate the transition between pages when presenting. By default, no transition effect is applied when a new page is created.

Choose between the following transition effects for a page. To apply effects to multiple pages, use the Page Properties pane.

  • None—No effect is applied. The page appears immediately upon advance. This is the default.
  • Swipe Swipe—The page appears from the right side of the display, covering the previous page.
  • Fade Fade—The page appears gradually, replacing the previous page as it disappears gradually.
If a transition effect is applied to a video page, the video does not start playing until the transition effect has completed. The transition effect is persisted when the presentation is exported to a video file.
