The Spatial Query rule is used to append new network features to diagrams based on their location relative to the network features currently represented in the diagram.
The Spatial Query rule works from network features that belong to a given source feature class, with those features being optionally filtered out based on specific attribute values. It also appends network features to diagrams that belong to a given source feature class, with those features being optionally filtered out based on specific attribute values.
Spatial Query rule specifics
The rule is configured to run spatial relationships to detect the features to append to the diagram; that is, it appends features that do any of the following to other features that are already represented in the diagram at the time the rule activates:
- Intersect
- Are within a distance of
- Contains
- Are within
- Have a boundary that touches
- Share a line segment with
- Are crossed by the outline of
