In the Manage Templates pane, you can delete one, several, or all editing templates defined for a map or a layer. The commands to delete them are available when you right-click a map or a layer in the layer view, and in the template view on the toolbar or when you right-click a template.
To undo your changes, click the Undo drop-down arrow on the Quick Access Toolbar and click the associated command, for example Delete templates.
Delete one or more templates
The Delete command deletes one or more selected editing templates. This command is available in the template view on the toolbar and when you right-click a template.
- On the ribbon Edit tab, click Manage Templates in the Manage Edits group.
Alternatively, click Manage Templates in the Create Features pane.
The Manage Templates pane appears.
- Click a map or layer in the layer view.
Templates for the selected map or layer appear in the template view.
- Click a template in the template view.
Note:
- To select multiple templates, press the Ctrl key while clicking.
- To select a range of templates, press the Shift key while clicking.
- Click Delete on the toolbar.
Alternatively, right-click and click Delete .
The selected templates are deleted.
Delete all templates for a map or layer
The Delete all templates command deletes all editing templates defined for a map or a layer. This command is available when you right-click a map or layer in the layer view.
- On the ribbon Edit tab, click Manage Templates in the Manage Edits group.
Alternatively, click Manage Templates in the Create Features pane.
The Manage Templates pane appears.
- Right-click a map or a layer in the layer view and click Delete all templates .
All templates for the map or the layer are deleted.
Note:
Deleting all templates for a layer resets auto generation.
