A Single Use license authorizes one person to use ArcGIS Pro. That person can use the software on one computer at a time, while having it installed on a maximum of two computers. A Single Use license does not require signing in to an ArcGIS organization to use the software.
Note:
As of December 1, 2025, it is no longer possible in My Esri to convert Named User licenses to Single Use licenses, or to convert Single Use licenses to Named User licenses. Existing Single Use licenses are valid for ArcGIS Pro 3.6. New licenses must be obtained for later versions.
A Single Use license is not the same as ArcGIS for Personal Use or ArcGIS for Student Use, which are special offerings of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online software. ArcGIS for Personal Use and ArcGIS for Student Use are authorized with Named User licenses.
