Legacy:
Automated review workflows based on Reviewer batch jobs are deprecated and will be removed at the next release of ArcGIS Pro. It is recommended that you migrate to ArcGIS Data Reviewer-based validation attribute rules.
Batch jobs are sets of configured data checks that are used to ensure that your data meets specific business rules or a product specification. They are created using tools in ArcMap and allow you to find conditions that range from invalid geometries to features with spatial relationships and metadata element issues.
In ArcGIS Pro, you can add multiple batch jobs to a project. This allows you to include batch jobs that validate data in a project. Once the batch jobs are included in the project, you can interactively run them on the full database or active map extent.
Add batch jobs from the file system
Batch jobs can be added to the project from a file system location on a local machine or a shared location on your organization's network. This method allows you to add multiple batch jobs to the project at once. For example, if there is a shared location that stores all the batch jobs for the data, you can add them to the project all at once.
To add batch jobs from the file system, complete the following steps:
- Open a project in ArcGIS Pro.
- On the Edit tab, click Manage Quality
to open the Manage Quality tab. Note:
The ArcGIS Data Reviewer Add Reviewer batch jobs
and Add Reviewer Results
tools have been removed from the Connections drop-down list starting at ArcGIS Pro 3.6. To complete the following workflow, you must add a new group to the Manage Quality tab, and add the Add Reviewer batch jobs and Add Reviewer Results commands to the new group. - On the Manage Quality tab, in the group that you created, click Add Reviewer Batch Jobs
. - Browse to the directory that contains the batch jobs, and choose one or more to add to the project.
To select multiple batch jobs, press the Ctrl or Shift key on your keyboard while clicking the batch job files.
- Click OK.
The Reviewer Batch Jobs folder that contains the batch jobs appears in the Catalog pane.
Tip:
To review information about the contents of a batch job, right-click the batch job item and click View Metadata. The Item Description information is useful in determining the number and type of checks configured in the batch job.
Add batch jobs from a folder connection
Batch jobs stored in a project's folder connection can be added to the project and used to validate data referenced by the project.
To add individual batch jobs to a project from a folder connection, complete the following steps:
- Open a project in ArcGIS Pro.
- Add a connection to a folder that contains batch jobs.
- Expand the folder that contains batch jobs.
- Right-click a batch job and click Add To Project.
The batch job is added to the Reviewer Batch Jobs folder in the Catalog pane. If this folder does not already exist, it is created.
Tip:
To review information about the contents of a batch job, right-click the batch job item and clicking View Metadata. The Item Description information is useful in determining the number and type of checks configured in the batch job.
- Repeat the steps above as needed to add batch jobs to the project.
