Legacy:
Automated review workflows based on Reviewer batch jobs are deprecated and will be removed at the next release of ArcGIS Pro. It is recommended that you migrate to ArcGIS Data Reviewer-based validation attribute rules.
A Reviewer batch job can be run directly from the Catalog pane once it has been added as a project item. As a project item, the Reviewer batch job can be run on the entire database or the current map extent. This allows you to control which features are validated using the configured checks stored in the Reviewer batch job.
Note:
The Connectivity Rules, Metadata, and Custom check types are not supported and will be skipped when a batch job is run. However, all other checks in the batch job run using the data.
To run a batch job that has not been added to the project, you can drag a Reviewer batch job (.rbj file) stored on your computer directly into the Batch Job File parameter in the Execute Reviewer Batch Job tool.
Caution:
This tool does not support features referenced in a batch job or Reviewer workspaces that contain 64-bit object IDs.
Run a batch job on the full database
When a Reviewer batch job is run on the full database, all the features in the applicable feature classes are validated based on the conditions specified in the checks. For example, if one of the checks in the Reviewer batch job finds bridges that do not overlap road features, running the Reviewer batch job on the full database would mean that all the bridges would be validated to see whether they have roads beneath them. This includes features that are not included in the current map.
To run a batch job on the full database, complete the following steps:
- Add a batch job to the current project
if necessary.
- On the Edit tab, click Manage Quality
to open the Manage Quality tab.Note:
The ArcGIS Data Reviewer Add Reviewer batch jobs
and Add Reviewer Results
tools have been removed from the Connections drop-down list starting at ArcGIS Pro 3.6. To complete the following workflow, you must add a new group to the Manage Quality tab, and add the Add Reviewer batch jobs and Add Reviewer Results commands to the new group. - On the Manage Quality tab, in the new group that you created, click Add Reviewer batch jobs
. - Browse to the directory that contains the batch jobs, and choose one or more to add to the project.
To select multiple batch jobs, press the Ctrl or Shift key on your keyboard while clicking the batch job files.
- Click OK.
The batch jobs are added to the Reviewer Batch Jobs folder in the Catalog pane.
- On the Edit tab, click Manage Quality
- Right-click the Reviewer batch job to run, hover over Execute, and click Full Database.
The Execute Reviewer Batch Job pane appears and is populated with the batch job file name and, if there is only one data workspace in the map, the production workspace name. The Reviewer Workspace parameter is automatically populated using the connection to the Reviewer workspace in the project.
- Click the Session drop-down arrow, and choose the session to use to store the batch job results.
- Click Run
.
The batch job runs on all the features referenced by the checks. If the Reviewer session that you chose to store the results is open in the Reviewer Results window, the batch job results appear.
Run a batch job on the current map extent
Running a batch job on the current map extent validates data sources that are visible in the current map extent. For example, you may have checks that ensure building features meet a specific minimum size. Rather than validating all the features in the building feature class, the checks will only analyze the building polygons that are within the current map extent. This could also include building features that are not displayed in the map, such as features that are excluded due to a layer definition query.
To run a batch job on the current map extent, complete the following steps:
- Add a batch job to the project
if necessary.
- On the Edit tab, click Manage Quality
to open the Manage Quality tab.Note:
