You can add or remove TIN nodes interactively using the TIN Editor. Nodes are points that represent locations of elevation data. The Add Node tool Add Node allows you to add individual nodes to a TIN. The Delete Node tool Delete Node allows you to select nodes and delete them from the TIN surface.

When you are adding or removing nodes on a TIN, it is recommended that you have the nodes drawn. To draw the nodes for the TIN, open the Symbology pane for the selected TIN. Select the TIN from the Contents pane and click the TIN Layer tab set. Then click the symbology button Symbology to open the Symbology pane. Symbolize the TIN layer using points Tin Points Off and set the Draw using drop-down menu to Simple.

There are two options to obtain elevation values for nodes added to a TIN. The From surface option will interpolate the elevation for the node from the selected location on the surface. The elevation will be displayed in the Add TIN Node window. The As specified option will add the node at the elevation entered in the Add TIN Node dialog box.
