Specify an exact x,y,z location

The Absolute X,Y,Z command Move To places a vertex or a point feature at an exact x,y,z coordinate location. A z-value can be specified if the feature is z-aware. This command is available if you are actively creating a feature and right-click the active map or scene.

To place a vertex or a point feature at an exact x,y,z location, complete the following steps:

  1. Click a template in the Create Features pane and choose a construction tool.
  2. Right-click the map and click Absolute X,Y,Z Move To, or press the F6 key.

    The Absolute X,Y,Z dialog box appears.

  3. Choose a units format, type the x,y,z coordinates, and press Enter.
