Point at end of line (Polyline)

In a group template, the Point at end of line builder At end of line generates a point feature at a specified distance from the last vertex and an offset from a polyline feature you create in a map. The builder is available with point component templates when the primary feature geometry is a polyline.

To view a complete list of feature builders, see Feature builder reference.

Parameters

ParameterExplanationSetting type

Position along the line

The distance from the last vertex of the primary polyline at which the new point feature is created

  • None—Distance is equal to zero. This is the default setting.
  • Distance—Distance is specified in units selected from a drop-down list.
  • Proportional—Distance is specified as a ratio of the segment length; for example, 50 equals 50 percent and interpreted as the midpoint.

Optional

Offset to the side of the line

The distance from the left or right side of the primary polyline at which the new point feature is created

  • None—Offset is equal to zero. This is the default setting.
  • Left—Offset is measured from the left of the segment.
  • Right—Offset is measured from the right of the segment.
