Available with Aviation Airports license.
The Terrain and Obstacle Profile element provides a view of the runway and approach surfaces as well as any obstructions and terrain that protrude through them. The appearance of this element can vary based on your organization's requirements and the specification used, such as FAA or ICAO.
To display the information properly, you first need to run the Generate OIS Profile Data and Generate OIS Obstacle Data geoprocessing tools. The Terrain and Obstacle Profile element can then be added.
- Start ArcGIS Pro.
To add a Terrain and Obstacle Profile element to a layout, ensure that you have already added a layout to your project.
- In the Contents pane, choose the multipatch feature class that contains the Obstruction Identification Surfaces (OIS) features you want to profile.
- On the Insert tab, in the Map Surrounds group, click Additional Surrounds and click Terrain and Obstacle Profile in the Aviation section.
The Terrain and Obstacle Profile element is added to your layout.
You can add more than one Terrain and Obstacle Profile element to a layout.
