00003: Layer's data source is inaccessible

A layer in your map has a broken data source link, meaning the layer's data cannot be displayed.

Solutions

Do one of the following:

  • You can repair broken data links by setting the data source of each layer to the proper location.
  • Alternatively, if you do not need the layer, remove it from your map.

More information

A data link is the path that identifies the dataset for each layer in a map. It is specified as part of each layer's properties.

A broken data link means that the layer's data is inaccessible. As maps are moved, copied, and renamed, data links are frequently broken, but can be easily repaired.
