Licensing ArcGIS IPS

Available for an ArcGIS organization licensed with the ArcGIS IPS extension.

To enable ArcGIS IPS tools and capabilities in ArcGIS Pro for specific members of your organization, complete the following steps:

1. License ArcGIS Pro with a Standard or Advanced level using a Named User, Single User, or Concurrent User license type.
2. Add the ArcGIS IPS organizational capability to your ArcGIS Online organization or ArcGIS Enterprise portal.

3. Assign the ArcGIS IPS user type extension and a member role with creation and editing privileges to the selected members.

Access ArcGIS IPS tools

To access and use ArcGIS IPS tools and capabilities in ArcGIS Pro, complete the following steps:

1. Start ArcGIS Pro.
2. Add a portal connection to an ArcGIS organization that has the ArcGIS IPS organization capability.
3. Sign in to the portal as a user assigned an ArcGIS IPS user type extension.
4. Set the portal as active.
