Verify ArcGIS IPS coverage

Available for an ArcGIS organization licensed with the ArcGIS IPS extension.

To ensure optimal performance of indoor positioning, it is recommended that you verify the coverage of your organization's Indoor Positioning Dataset before creating an IPS-aware map. To verify the coverage of the Indoor Positioning Dataset, complete the following steps:

1. Start ArcGIS Pro.
2. Open an ArcGIS IPS map or prepare a new map in ArcGIS Pro.
3. Ensure that the ArcGIS IPS map and the floor plan layers are floor aware.
4. Add the IPS Positioning Points feature class to the map and make it floor aware.
5. Use the floor filter to browse existing facilities and levels of your ArcGIS Indoors Model to verify that the IPS Positioning Points feature class covers the required areas.
