Set selection options for editing

Application selection options customize default settings and other preferences for selection tools that interactively select features for editing. To configure these options, click the Options dialog box launcher Launcher on the ribbon Edit tab, in the Selection group.

This topic is a quick reference for setting selection options most used most when editing feature data.

Tip:

Always use the selection tool that is included with an editing tool in the Modify Features pane and in the Attributes pane. These selection tools include specialized functionality that works with the active tool.

  4. Click OK.
