This message appears on the Editing Status dialog box.
Cause
The annotation layer was created with ArcMap or an earlier release of ArcGIS Pro.
Note:
In some cases, you can edit annotation created with an earlier release of ArcGIS Pro, but any properties new to version 3.x are not saved.
Solution
- Create a backup of the source annotation data and upgrade the feature class. To learn more, see Manage annotation feature classes.
- To view the annotation version number, right-click the feature class in the Catalog pane, click Feature Class Properties
, click the Source tab, and expand Annotation.
