Move, rotate, or scale annotation

The Annotation tool Edit Annotation contains a selection tool that allows you to select and move, rotate, or scale an annotation feature by hovering over the selection boundary and dragging the feature when the pointer changes to a command cursor. This tool is available in the Modify Features pane.

When you move, rotate, or scale a feature, consider the following:

  • The annotation selection tool selects only annotation features and excludes other feature types from a selection.
  • When you move or rotate a feature, press S and use the selection anchor to snap features to other features. Press Ctrl to drag the anchor to a useful location.
  • To prevent unintended rotation or scaling, uncheck the Enable rotate and resize check box.
