LRS Network properties

The following tables describe the LRS Network properties:

Name and feature class

The name and feature class properties appear at the top of the Location Referencing tab.

PropertyDescription

Name

The name of the selected LRS Network.

Network Feature Class

The feature class from which the LRS Network was created.

Tolerance and resolution

You can view the following Tolerance and Resolution properties:

PropertyDescription

XY Tolerance

The x,y tolerance set for the network feature class.

M Tolerance

The m-tolerance set for the network feature class.

Z Tolerance

The z-tolerance set for the network feature class.

XY Resolution

The x,y resolution set for the network feature class.

M Resolution

The m-resolution set for the network feature class.

Z Resolution

The z-resolution set for the events feature class.

Fields and network properties

You can view the following Fields and Network Properties fields and properties:

PropertyDescription

Route ID

The unique identifier of the route.

Measure Precision

The specified number of decimal places included in the measure.

Route Name

The name of the route.

From Date

The date the network became active.

To Date

The date the network was retired.

Supports Lines

Lines are supported in the network: yes or no.

Line ID

The unique identifier of the line.

Line Name

The name of the line.

Line Order

The monotonic order of routes in the line.

Derived

Denotes whether the network is derived from a line network.

Derived From

If derived, the line network from which it's derived.

Route ID Configuration

The type of route identifier configured for the selected network, either single-field or multifield.

Note:

If a multifield route ID is configured, the fields that comprise the identifier are displayed.

Gap Calibration Method

The gap calibration method configured for this network. Possible values are Stepping Increment, Adding Increment, or Euclidean.

Increment

The increment, or measure, value configured for the gap calibration method in this network.

Update route measures in cartographic realignment

Specifies whether route measures are recalibrated based on length changes in cartographic realignment. This is unavailable by default. Run the Modify Network Calibration Rules tool to enable this setting in the LRS Network.

Route dominance properties

There must be at least one configured rule for the Route Dominance Properties section to appear. Each configured rule has properties that can be viewed by expanding its node.

You can view the following Route Dominance Properties for each configured rule:

PropertyDescription

Source Table Name

The source event table or feature class used in the configured rule.

Fields

The attribute field from the source table used to determine route dominance. If multiple fields are configured, they are shown.

Order Method

The method to specify ordering in route dominance: either Lesser or Greater values.

Order Type

The ordering type to use when evaluating strings: Numeric or Alphanumeric.

Prioritized Exceptions

A comma-separated list of user-provided exceptions. Values derived from multiple fields must match the concatenated order defined using Fields.

For example, if SR18 is a multifield route ID that is composed of RouteType and RouteNumber attributes, the route can be listed as an exception using its concatenated name: SR18.

View network properties by map layer

You can view the properties of an LRS Network map layer from the Contents pane:

  1. Open the Contents pane in ArcGIS Pro.
  2. Right-click the network layer with the properties you want to review, and click Properties.

The Layer Properties dialog box appears with the selected network layer name in the title bar.

    Note:

The dialog box tabs that appear on the dialog box are specific to the selected layer type.

  3. Click the Location Referencing tab.

Scroll down if the tab isn't visible in the list.

The Location Referencing tab displays general properties for the selection at the top, with additional nodes below.

View network properties by feature class

You can view the properties of an LRS Network feature class from the Catalog pane:

  1. Open the Catalog pane in ArcGIS Pro.
  2. Expand the geodatabase connection and any relevant subfolders to browse to the feature class.
  3. Right-click the network feature class with the properties you want to review, and click Properties.

The Feature Class Properties dialog box appears with the selected feature class name in the title bar.

    Note:
