The display scale settings can be adjusted using the Minimum and Maximum drop-down menus on the Maritime S-101 tab of the ribbon, in the S-100 Editing group. The setting automatically populates the minimumDisplayScale and maximumDisplayScale attributes for each inserted feature.
Before creating features, user and agency identification information must be defined in the EditingProperties table, and the display scale must be set on the Maritime S-101 tab.
Note:
All data in a dataset must have the same minimum display scale, but portions of a dataset can have a different maximum display scale. This depends on the best scale required for navigation in an area.
The display scale is used to indicate a range of scales wherein data can be used by a Producer. The Export S-101 Cell tool uses display scale attributes to determine which features are exported to a dataset. The Maximum display scale attribute is used to indicate the largest intended viewing scale for the data, whereas the Minimum display scale is used to indicate the smallest intended viewing scale for the data.
The maximum and minimum display scales must each be set to any one of the scales listed in the following table:
